Yeison Orlando Jiménez Galeano ( Manzanares , Caldas , July 26 , 1991 ) is a Colombian popular music singer songwriter and composer . In 2021 he was a member of the jury in the musical program Yo Me Llamo in its eighth season of the Caracol Televisión channel .

His parents: Orlando Jiménez Aristizábal and Luz Mery Galeano, merchants by profession, were the first people to know the talent of their son who, at a young age, was already beginning to lean towards music, especially in the popular and norteño genre.

He began in the artistic world at the age of 7, after participating in the children’s song festival, which is held in Manzanares (Caldas) and brings together the best children’s and youth exponents of music in all its expressions, where he won first place during 5 consecutive years.

As a consequence of his great triumph, he participated in different festivals and musical contests such as: National Festival of the Colombian Pasillo in Aguadas (Caldas), National Meeting of Canta Pisteros (Manizales), National Meeting of Bands and Musical Groups (Neira, Caldas), where remained in the top positions of the award.

With only 13 years of age, he began to compose his own songs, and after several efforts he arrived in the capital. At the age of 13 he started working at the wholesale supply center, where he worked for 5 years. Some time later, he achieves his great dream of recording 5 musical themes and thus entering the market of Bogotá and its surroundings.

The first musical recording of his authorship is titled Te Deseo Lo Mejor, and he made it in the studio of Jorge González (El Peruano). After accumulating 23 recorded songs, 18 of them manage to be part of his debut album Con El Corazón-Volume 1, released in 2013.

He also has more than 70 compositions, which make him one of the greatest exponents of popular music. With international presentations in Germany, France, Italy and the US, he has occupied the first places with his productions on the main radio stations and television channels in Colombia.

In 2014 he released the single “Por qué la envy”, recorded in the cities of Miami (USA), Bogotá and Villavicencio (Meta), a song that is addressed to all those people who did not believe in him and who only took care of send bad energy This single is part of her most recent studio album, Vuelve Y Me Pasa, released in 2015.

To promote his latest album, he toured various cities in Colombia in 2015, alternating with the recording of his new album. To date, he has more than 70 compositions of his own, he has recorded songs in the United States and has collaborated with several singers of the genre such as El Charrito Negro , Jhonny Rivera , Giovanny Ayala and Jhon Alex Castaño .
