KONTA CHILDRENS FOUNDATION

The foundation has been founded on this principle and is committed to seeking out and helping those who have been living without hope in destitute conditions. The origins of the Charity began early last year when the charity’s President Mr Almani Konta began discussions with aid groups in Africa who were dedicated to solving the economic and living conditions of some of the poor village populations in the most stricken regions of the Sudan and Uganda.

As a direct result of these talks, Mr Konta began the KONTA Children’s Foundation. We then began to sponsor the most deprived people living in remote villages in these regions. The operations have since spread to other deprived regions such as missions in Uganda where many families and ill children have been provided for. These improvements cover all areas of life, from the basic provision of shelter to food, paying for schooling fees, beds, mattresses, blankets, shoes, and health care.

SCHOOL EDUCATION

School Education for the young in Africa is usually only available to a few, and seldom do all children benefit from free schooling. The majority of children generally have to make do without basic education and help with work to assist the family with basic provisions.

In most African countries learning is often found evident in areas where the population is wealthier, where it is easier to gain access to privately run education courses. As a result, there are millions of children dwelling in impoverished regions that remain out of reach of basic education. It is these children we are seeking to help.

COLLEGE EDUCATION

An essential aim is to provide and sustain the educational needs of the young. We achieve this by providing uniforms, paying for all the necessary school fees, lunches, and other related costs of keeping a child in school.

WATER & HEALTH

To discover the nearest fresh supply of water and have all the facilities in place to transport this fresh supply to the nearby and neighboring villagers’.

Clean water is absolutely essential for life, however, over a billion people in the world do not have it.

Due to this alarming fact, and poor sanitation arising out of a lack of freshwater, causes over two million people to die from water-related diseases every year.

This fundamental absence of clean water close to people’s homes runs through and affects every aspect of daily life, increasing vulnerability to many diseases.
